Check The Special Police Unit That Was Deployed To Raila's Home In Bondo To Provide Security

Heavy security has been deployed at Opoda Farm, the rural home of the late Raila Odinga in Bondo, Siaya County, ahead of his burial preparations. Reports indicate that the General Service Unit (GSU) has officially taken charge of all major access points to the compound.

Sources at the scene revealed that the elite police officers have mounted roadblocks and are conducting thorough checks on all vehicles and individuals entering the premises. The move is aimed at maintaining order and ensuring the safety of VIPs and dignitaries expected to visit the Odinga home.

According to security officials, the GSU will remain stationed at the home until after the burial to assist in crowd control and traffic management, given the huge number of mourners expected to attend.

Residents around Bondo have also reported an increased police presence in the area, with both Administration Police (AP) and Kenya Police Service officers patrolling the surroundings.
