Amount Of Money ODM Spent To Organize Its Celebration In Mombasa

On Saturday the Orange Democratic Movement party held a celebration in Mombasa to mark 20 years since it was founded by former prime minister Raila Odinga.

The event attracted thousands of supporters from across the country at Mama Ngina grounds where the event was held.

From the photos shared on the internet as the celebration was on, one could tell that it was well organized and cost a fortune.

Nation Africa has now given details on how much the event cost to organize. As documented in the Sunday paper, the event cost at least Sh200 million.

The money covered for transportation for the party delegates to Mombasa, hiring vehicles for their use, hotel bookings, security, brandings, entertainment and dinner.

The event was taken as a celebration of Raila Odinga who held the party together for over two decades.
