The United Democratic Alliance Party has come out to hit back at former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua after his recent claims of plans by IEBC tp leaders to rig the Thursday by-elections.
The party through a letter delivered to the IEBC on Tuesday said that Gachagua's allegations are just aimed at discrediting women in politics.
The party said that Gachagua's allegations are normal tantrums aimed at disrupting peace during the Thursday by-elections.
The party secretary general Omar Hassan said that Gachagua has sensed defeat in the elections and he has decided to share fake reports so as to disrupt the peaceful exercise.
He further asked IEBC to make an inquest into Gachagua's remarks and find out what made him to say what he said.
The response by UDA comes just a day after Gachagua's letter to the commission where he complained that the IEBC vice chair was attempting an election malpractice in Magarini in the Thursday by-elections.
