The coming 60,000 seater Talanta Stadium has the features of being one of the most advanced sporting arenas in East and Central Africa.
With the project currently 68% done and still on course to meet its planned completion date of March 2026, this world-class facility is bound to be constructed to international standards.
One of the signature elements of the stadium is a state of the art lightweight roof canopy, first in the region. This unique design will guarantee improved lighting, enhanced acoustics, and superior weather protection for fans.
This stadium draws its inspiration from the national identity of Kenya: eight iconic giant shields, inspired by the Maasai shield on the national flag will make this venue not only a sports facility but a cultural landmark. Equally, there are eight gates to ease the movement and reduce congestion on match days.
Besides the main arena, Talanta Stadium will host three fully equipped training pitches, one of which is a mini stadium that can accommodate 1,500 seats, ideal for youth development and warm up matches.
Attention has been paid to accessibility throughout, with ramped entrances, various seating designated for persons with disabilities and specialized washrooms.
The stadium itself will have 15 elevators installed inside to ensure smooth movement of spectators and support staff in different levels.
Having broken ground in early 2024, the stadium is still on course for completion and full operation by 1st March 2026.
Once complete, Talanta Stadium is expected to change Kenya’s sports landscape and position the country as a regional hub for major international events.
