Fresh Details Emerge Revealing The Last Places Constance Githinji Visited Hours Before Her Death

New details have emerged revealing the final movements of Constance Githinji, the university student who died after falling from the sixth floor of a short stay apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

As homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations intensify their probe, Citizen TV has pieced together a timeline of where Constance was and what she was doing in her final hours.

Earlier that day, a friend she met with revealed that the two had been making plans to attend a birthday party in Gataka, Karen. The evening, however, took a different turn.

Before heading to Kileleshwa, Constance stopped at a beauty parlour where she had her hair done. Employees at the salon, who requested anonymity, confirmed she left the premises at around 10pm.

Social media activity later placed her at an entertainment spot in Kileleshwa, which investigators traced to an Ethiopian restaurant in the area. Staff at the restaurant confirmed she had been there on the night of the incident.

Her next known location was the short-stay apartment, where she fell from the sixth floor. Given that the building has three basement parking levels, she technically fell the equivalent of nine floors to the ground.

On Wednesday, homicide detectives led by Homicide Chief Martin Nyugutu revisited the scene alongside Constance's parents. The team questioned security guards and room service staff, interrogated five individuals including the guard on duty that night, and retrieved CCTV footage to help reconstruct the sequence of events.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled as investigations continue.
