The family of Rachel Wandeto has broken their silence following her brutal murder, and her brother has delivered a message that is equal parts grief and defiance.
Wandeto was attacked by unknown assailants in what has been widely linked to her open support for President William Ruto. She had tattooed the President's image on her body, a visible declaration of loyalty that appears to have made her a target.
The attackers doused her with petrol and set her on fire. She later died in hospital while receiving treatment for her injuries.
The family is still raw with pain, but her brother refused to be silenced or intimidated. Speaking out publicly, he demanded justice for his sister and made clear that fear had no place in his response to her killing.
"Even if my car is labelled and it costs me my life, I am ready to die," he said, signalling that no amount of threat or danger would move him from where he stands.
In a moment that caught many observers off guard, he also stated that despite his sister's death being linked to political motives, he would continue to support President Ruto and would do anything within his means to back him.
For him, retreating from that position would feel like a betrayal of everything his sister stood for and ultimately paid for with her life.
The case has drawn widespread outrage across the country, with many Kenyans calling on investigators to move swiftly and bring those responsible to justice.
The idea that a woman could be murdered for publicly supporting a political figure has shaken many, regardless of where they stand politically.
Wandeto's family wants answers. They want accountability. And they want her death to mean something.
