Senior Court Of Appeal Judge Passes Away, Martha Koome Mourns

Chief Justice Martha Koome has confirmed the passing of Court of Appeal Judge Fredrick Ochieng Andago, marking a great loss to Kenya’s judiciary.

Justice Andago began his judicial career in 2003 when he was appointed a Judge of the High Court. Over the years, he served in various divisions and regions across the country, earning respect for his integrity, diligence, and deep knowledge of the law.

In 2022, he was elevated to the Court of Appeal, where he played a pivotal role in shaping Kenya’s jurisprudence and strengthening the rule of law. His colleagues have described him as a committed jurist whose work left an indelible mark on the legal profession.

Chief Justice Koome, in her tribute, praised Andago’s dedication and invaluable contribution to the judiciary, stating that his passing is a major blow to the institution and to the nation.
