Wahome Thuku Alleges Why Gachagua Was Missing At Raila's Requiem Mass on Friday

The absence of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua at the requiem mass of the late former prime minister Raila Odinga has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans.

Thousands of people and leaders from across the political divide assembled at the stadium to pay their respects to the fallen hero but Gachagua's absence was noticeable.

On the internet Kenyans wondered why the self proclaimed kingpin of Mt Kenya was not present and they gave different opinions.

Lawyer Wahome Thuku who has recently aligned himself with Gachagua has shared a post on his Facebook page alleging why Gachagua was absent.

He claimed that when Gachagua was impeached last year he retired to his rural home in Wamunyoro that is known to be very remote.

He alleged that in Wamunyoro there's is no internet or radio signals and therefore Gachagua may not have received the news of Raila's death.

This was however a bluff by Wahome to mock critics since Gachagua shared his condolences on his social media platforms immediately the news of Raila's passing was announced.
