What Uhuru Did At Raila's Home A Day After He Was Buried

A day after the burial of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, former President Uhuru Kenyatta made a heartfelt visit to the Odinga family at Opoda Farm and Kang’o ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County, where the former Prime Minister was laid to rest.

During the visit, Uhuru met with Ida Odinga and other family members to personally convey his condolences and offer words of comfort following Raila’s passing. The former Head of State took time to reflect on their long friendship, describing Raila as a patriot, democrat, and statesman who dedicated his life to the struggle for a better Kenya.

Kenyatta later proceeded to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Mausoleum, where he paid tribute to both Raila and his late father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, acknowledging the family’s immense contribution to the country’s political history and democracy.

Uhuru’s quiet visit, away from cameras and political fanfare, has been praised by many Kenyans as a gesture of deep respect and loyalty to his late friend’s memory.
