According to reports, the move was made by president Donald Trump who canceled the deal earlier signed between President Ruto and Biden.
In the agreement Kenya was to receive Sh5.8 billion as funding to build the Nairobi-Mombasa BRT that would cost a total of Sh7.4 billion.
This means that the project which Kenyans had been looking forward to may never come to be a reality as their is no money for it's construction.
Since Trump took office he has cancelled a number of deals signed by his predecessor Joe Biden a thing that has left the beneficiaries at crossroads.
Kenyans are now waiting for an update from the government on what will happen to the planned BRT.
