According to Wahome, Dr. Matiang’i through consultations with various stakeholders and policy experts is developing a comprehensive manifesto aimed at giving the country a complete departure from the old political traditions that have defined governance for more than six decades.
The manifesto, Wahome revealed will not just focus on what needs to be done but rather on how it will be achieved, marking a shift towards practical and actionable solutions. A key pillar of the plan is a ruthless war against corruption, targeting all levels of government and public institutions.
He further stated that the full document is expected to be unveiled by mid to early 2026, and will present a fresh political vision designed to restore integrity, accountability, and efficiency in leadership.
Wahome concluded by saying that “Kenya needs fresh wine, not stale wine in new skin,” implying that Matiang’i’s initiative could be the fresh start the country desperately needs.
