Ever since former Lugari MP Hon Cyrus Jirongo died the country has been unsettled after speculations emerged that he had been assassinated and his death staged as an accident.
Immediately the speculations emerged people demanded that the government provide answers on who had wanted the former MP and minister dead.
Despite the DCI clarifying that the accident was natural and no foul play was involved, close relatives and followers are unconvinced as they have demanded for answers.
As a way of getting justice for their leader, the Luhya community has decided to burry Jirongo in their own traditions to make sure nothing was done to him.
They plan to bury him with a torch which they believe will help reveal the perpetrator that planned his death.
On Monday Kakamega county senator Hon Boni Khwalwale arrived at the home of Jirongo while carrying the torch that will be placed in the coffin.
Here received a heroic welcome as his supporters carried and cheered him. He came with a powerful torch which he revealed himself will be the exact one that will be buried with Jirongo.
He marched in the homestead with a traditional attire as he shone the powerful torch.
Although many people are in support of the tradition of burying Jirongo with a torch, critics have said it is an old belief and nothing is going to happen.
