They Did Not Want Me To Speak at Raila's Sister's Burial - Babu Owino Reveals Who Defended Him

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has revealed that he was initially not allowed to speak during the burial ceremony of the late sister to former ODM leader Raila Odinga. However, the situation quickly changed after the crowd demanded to hear from him.

According to Babu Owino, the people present made their wishes known despite attempts to bar him from addressing mourners. Reading out the names of leaders present, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo mentioned Babu Owino and the crowd erupted with loud cheers.

The cheering continued with the mourners insisting that Babu take the podium, their reaction leaving no room for organizers to ignore their demand, compelling those in charge to allow him to speak.

Babu praised Millie Odhiambo for supporting him, adding that the people's overwhelming support made it possible for him to address the gathering.

His comments, since then, have sparked discussions online with many interpreting the incident as evidence of his growing popularity and strong grassroots backing.
