Wahome Alleges The Powerful Man Close To Ruto That Gives Orders Of Attacking Gachagua

Political commentator Wahome Thuku has sparked fresh controversy after alleging that a powerful figure within President William Ruto’s inner circle is responsible for issuing instructions to target former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua whenever the Head of State is away from the country.

According to Thuku, the pattern of harassment, disruption of rallies and police confrontations directed at Gachagua and his DCP party is not random but a coordinated operation sanctioned from the very top of the security hierarchy.

He claims that when President Ruto is abroad, a senior government official very close to the President steps in to ensure these directives are executed without interruption.

Thuku pointed directly to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as the man allegedly responsible for maintaining these orders in Ruto’s absence. He asserts that Kindiki, by virtue of controlling the security apparatus, becomes the automatic executor of instructions aimed at weakening Gachagua politically.

Wahome further notes that Gachagua is frequently targeted during solo political engagements, yet remains untouched when he appears alongside other key opposition leaders such as Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa or Justin Muturi.

He argues that this selective enforcement is part of a broader strategy engineered at the highest levels of government to isolate DCP within the opposition. The goal, he claims is to create perceptions of hierarchy, make Gachagua feel singled out and sow divisions among the united opposition front.

As political temperatures continue to rise, Thuku’s allegations add fuel to an already volatile confrontation between Gachagua and State House, raising questions about the true intentions behind the escalating pressure on the former Deputy President.
