Wahome Thuku Exposes Government & Opposition Leaders, Reveals What They Truly Want Ahead of 2027

Wahome Thuku has again stirred a debate after claiming that government and opposition leaders are less concerned about who will be Kenya's next president come 2027, and more focused on securing their own bargaining power.

As Thuku Alleges, despite the charged atmosphere of politics and posturing in the public view across the various camps, most top politicians are not motivated by ideological commitments or loyalty to particular presidential aspirants.

What drives them more is being strategically positioned to negotiate good deals, regardless of who is declared winner of the presidency.

Thuku states that this kind of political mindset is dominant in both divides. He explains that the majority of the senior figures in the Kenya Kwanza administration and Azimio aligned parties look at 2027 as an opportunity to increase their influence or get government appointments

To them, an early alignment with a certain candidate is just one avenue toward building leverage for future negotiations.

He further explains that this reality explains shifting alliances, cautious endorsements, and calculated silences across leaders.

Most would still prefer to keep their political cards close until such time as when an appropriate moment is considered ripe for striking a deal, without fully committing to any of the emerging frontrunners.

Thuku warned that this transactional approach to politics could shape Kenya's political landscape over the next two years, with leaders forming alliances based on personal gain, as opposed to national interest.

His comments have attracted reactions online, with many Kenyans agreeing that political loyalty in the country is often fluid and guided by self preservation.
