Photos Of The Nairobi-Nakuru Highway Accident That Left Several People Dead

The Monday accident that happened along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway near Kikopey has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans about the safety of the road.

For many years accidents have been happening along the road and claimed hundreds of innocent lives but the government has failed to provide a solution.

In the Monday accident a trailer lost control and fell on a passenger van. According to reports from the scene, several people are feared dead.

As seen by this writer in videos shared by Kenyans on the internet, locals immediately rushed to the scene of the accident to help those that had been trapped in the matatu.

The rescuers could be seen carrying out the injured people as they broke the doors of the matatu for easy access.

Kenyans have now called on the government to find a solution to end the rampant accidents along the road. They called for the widening of the road to ease traffic and provide more space for easy escape incase of such incidents.
