Former Churchill Comedian Chemutai Reveals The Seat She Will Run For In 2027

Former Churchill Show comedienne Jemutai, who has the real moniker of Stella Bunei Koitie, has today announced that she is joining politics and will vie for a top seat in the 2027 general elections.

Jemutai actually wants to be the next Elgeyo Marakwet County Woman Representative, and she made this clear in a post that she made on her Facebook account on Tuesday night.

Jemutai actually shared a photo of her campaign poster, and what was clear is that she wants to contest for the seat via the ruling party, United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The poster also had her campaign slogan, which was "I Understand Women Better".

Jemutai then accompanied the poster with a caption of her saying that she will be addressing her fans tomorrow at 9.

Her address will presumably be about this big decision of switching from comedy to politics.

If Jemutai is indeed serious about wanting to be the next Elgeyo Marakwet County Woman Representative, then she will be seeking to succeed the current holder of that position, Hon. Caroline Jeptoo Ng'elechei.

Hon. Caroline Jeptoo Ng'elechei was actually elected in the August 2022 general elections, and she is the third person to hold that seat.
