The Top Govt Official Cyrus Jirongo Met With Moments Before The Accident That Claimed His Life

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has come up with information concerning the last moments before the death of former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo, detailing the senior government official he met hours before he died.

As per detectives, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula was the last senior state official to have a meeting with Jirongo before the tragic death.

Investigations have shown that the two people met in Karen on the evening following the celebrations of Jamhuri Day. The two had a meeting between 8:30pm and 9:30pm, after which they parted ways. Shortly after leaving the meeting, Jirongo set out on a journey which ended in tragedy along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.

Jirongo lost his life in an accident involving a collision between his Mercedes Benz car and a passenger city bus in the Karai area of Naivasha. The accident took place at night, with all the circumstances under investigation. His body is currently preserved at Lee Funeral Home while investigations continue into the events leading to the accident.

During a different burial ceremony where he was speaking, Wetangula not only confirmed the event but also explained how he was in shock over the death of a good friend.

The revelation is set to spark renewed interest among the public because detectives are working to establish a timeline of events before Jirongo’s death.
