The Karatina town incident where a police officer shot a businessman at Rubis has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans.
The officer has since been arrested and is facing murder charges in Nyeri county.
A CCTV footage has now been released by the Rubis fuel station showing how the whole incident played out.
As seen by this writer, the young businessman was seen arguing with the police officers as he walked away while passing though the station.
The officer and another colleague followed him closely and tried to get physical with him as he tried to defend himself.
It is during this moment that the officer drew his gun and shot him. The young man fell on the spot and collapsed.
The officers on realizing what they had done started to walk away as a worker of the station rushed to the man on the ground. He then followed the officers and asked they why they had shot him.
The officers ignored him and walked away from the scene as people started to gather around the body.
Kenyans have been angered by the video and have demanded that the officer who shot him be sent to prison so that he can pay for his crime.
Police officers have also been advised to use their weapons wisely as they can land in trouble for misusing them.
