"I Told You But You Did Not Listen" Caleb Amisi Reveals What He Told UDA MPs

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has come out strongly against the Kenya Kwanza government, warning United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders not to underestimate Raila Odinga’s influence ahead of the 2027 elections. In a bold statement, Amisi reminded his colleagues that he had earlier cautioned them about taking Raila lightly, stressing that the ODM leader’s political future is aligned with the will of the people.

“I told UDA guys, don’t be so sure with Baba. Baba will go where Kenyans will be, and most Kenyans want William Ruto out of office like yesterday. Kenya needs a renaissance,” Amisi stated.

His remarks came shortly after Raila Odinga clarified that ODM has not made any official resolution regarding its strategy for the 2027 general elections. Raila noted that contrary to claims making rounds, the party has not ruled out fielding a presidential candidate in 2027, leaving the door wide open for possibilities.

Amisi’s comments highlight growing discontent with President William Ruto’s administration, which many Kenyans feel has failed to meet expectations. According to the vocal legislator, the groundswell of public dissatisfaction could fuel a political shift in the coming years, with Raila still seen as a central figure in shaping that transition.

With Raila’s future moves still uncertain, Amisi’s warning to UDA serves as a reminder that the opposition remains a formidable force. The unfolding political discourse suggests that the 2027 race could be far more competitive and unpredictable than initially anticipated.
