Mbeere North MP-elect Leo Wamuthende has credited his victory to God and the unwavering support of his constituents. Speaking after being declared the winner in what was one of the most competitive by-elections this year, Wamuthende said his success was the result of constant prayers and the commitment of the people who stood by him throughout the campaign period.
He noted that the race was tough, filled with various obstacles along the way, but maintained that it is divine guidance and the resilience of his supporters that kept his team focused. Wamuthende said that the belief of the community in his leadership and dedication to turning out in large numbers made all the difference.
The MP-elect thanked the people for reposing their confidence in him and promised to serve with honesty, transparency, and accountability, thereby pledging to prioritize development, unite the constituency, and work closely with all stakeholders in addressing long standing issues facing Mbeere North.
